CODEINTENT® STUDIO

Representative dataset. Every source artifact accounted for, dispositioned, and mapped, at a glance.
BUILT FOR BOTH
01
Carry the system forward as it runs today.
For teams whose mandate is to get off an aging runtime without changing what the system does. Full coverage and a line-level record show what stayed the same, item by item.
02
Modernize and improve in the same pass.
For teams who want a better architecture, not a line-for-line copy. Dead paths are retired, and new capability is added and tracked as net-new, traceable to the decision behind it.
WORKFLOW
01
Recover intent.
Build the deterministic, source-derived understanding of what the system actually does.
02
Establish the baseline.
Every source artifact is dispositioned, traced, and accounted for.
03
Generate the modern system.
Modern code is produced from the governed baseline with line-level evidence.
04
Accept the change.
Review preserved behavior, allowed changes, new functionality, and unresolved items.
05
Govern what comes next.
Every future human or AI change is checked against the same baseline.
INSIDE CODEINTENT® STUDIO
Scope Ledger
A searchable view of every item in the codebase, its review status, and the evidence behind it, filterable by disposition and exportable as a full record.
Verification
Where the evidence behind the modernization is collected: what’s been reviewed, what’s still pending, and the records that support a delivery claim.
Evidence Package
The export and audit surface. Baseline records, checksums, and artifacts organized so the answer to “what proves this change is grounded” is a package you can hand to a reviewer.
Governed Boundaries
The areas that need a human. Inferred, missing, orphaned, externally governed, and net-new code are surfaced for explicit ownership with their source and evidence links intact.
Ask CodeIntent
Ask questions about the project in plain language and get answers grounded in the imported codebase and its evidence, not general modernization advice.
Project Onboarding
Import a codebase and its modernization target as a baseline, and set the scope Studio works from for the rest of the engagement.

A DIRECT ANSWER
The engine that generates code is deterministic: the same source, under the same rules, produces the same output on every run. Large language models assist only in bounded phases, helping analyze sections of source that haven’t been covered yet and answering project questions in Ask CodeIntent, inside the constraint system. They do not author the change.
Demonstrated on systems where getting it wrong is not an option.
Federal civilian agency — Core records system. Full codebase modernized to governed Java, delivered in weeks.
Global payments network — Transaction system. Full coverage with line-level traceability across the codebase.
Defense prime — Mission system. Modernized where prior vendors stalled, on languages other tools decline to touch.
FAQ
Am I betting my production system on an LLM?
No. CodeIntent's transformation engine is deterministic and leads the modernization process. Every delivered change is checked against the CodeIntent baseline before it is accepted, not against a model's best guess. Large language models operate only in bounded phases, such as analyzing uncovered source or answering project questions inside the constraint system. They do not author the change.
Does our source code leave our environment? Can CodeIntent run entirely inside ours?
Your source code does not need to leave your environment. CodeIntent supports on-premises, private-cloud, and fully air-gapped deployments with no external API calls required. Your code is analyzed where it resides, and the resulting governed baseline remains inside your infrastructure.
How does CodeIntent demonstrate that behavior was preserved?
CodeIntent creates a source-to-target equivalence record for every preserved behavior. Every generated element can be traced back to the exact source construct it came from, together with the evidence that demonstrates the transformation preserved its operational behavior. In CodeIntent Studio, you can follow any line of generated code back to its source and the evidence behind it. Preservation is demonstrated, not asserted.
